The APPE-RT is designed for PharmD students interested in obtaining a pharmacy residency upon graduation. This track allows students interested in pursuing a postgraduate residency to gain skills and experiences to enhance their competiveness in obtaining a residency position. Students may apply for a Health System APPE-RT focus or a Rural Health APPE-RT focus. APPE-RT students complete six rotations at one facility including four required and two elective rotations. APPE-RT students complete two additional elective rotations but NOT at the facility, for a total of eight rotations. APPE-RT students must commit to 50-60 hours per week. To be eligible for the APPE-RT program, candidates must be a student in good academic standing, have a GPA of 3.0 or above, complete the application process, and submit rankings by the match deadline.
