Complete all Training Programs/Certification

1. In Canvas:
   • If you’ve never used Canvas before, enroll in and complete the Successful Online Learning Canvas course.
   • Check your canvas page for detailed information and do all the training programs in it. https://canvas.wisc.edu/
   • HIPPA Training – Contact Mitchell Sabez (mitchell.sabez@wisc.edu) if training does not appear in your Canvas homepage.
2. On other websites:
   • CITI: Once you have your UW NetID, you should go to https://research.wisc.edu/compliance-policy/human-research-protection-program/hrpp-training/citi-human-subjects-protections-hsp-training-instructions/ to complete human subjects training.
     • If you completed CITI training at another institution, please follow these instructions to link previous CITI Training to your UW NetID. It is possible that you may have to complete more modules to meet the requirements for UW-Madison CITI training but it should let you know after the accounts have been merged.
   • Cybersecurity Awareness Online Training
   • Complete Photo & Info Release Authorization Form
   • Complete Graduate and Professional Students Preventing and Responding to Sexual and Relationship Violence online training module
3. Travel training: Check Appendix 1 (Travel Training) for further details.Fleet certification: Only for those who have a driving license. Check Appendix 1 (Fleet Certified/ Authorized Driver) for further details.
4. Grad Student Equity Workshop – Complete by end of first semester in program
   1. Register online for BOTH the canvas and the in person session.
   2. Once complete, please upload the screenshot of completion status to the Workshop Completion form.
