The University of Wisconsin-Madison is committed to promoting a safe and healthy campus environment, where individuals are free from hazing. The purpose of this Hazing Policy is to define hazing at UW-Madison and establish requirements for hazing education, reporting, and response in accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act and Wis. Stat. § 948.51 .
- This policy applies to all employees, registered student organizations (RSOs), students, student groups, and individuals who volunteer with RSOs and student groups.
- This policy applies to all School of Pharmacy student organization activities, regardless of the location, including School of Pharmacy students alumni, and guests.
- Hazing incidents should be reported to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards using the Hazing Incident Report.
- Anyone who experiences, witnesses, or becomes aware of hazing should report it to their academic advisor or the Associate Dean for Student Affairs. Reports may be made by victims, witnesses, organization members, faculty, staff, or others
- Hazing incidents may result in an academic or nonacademic misconduct violation. The School of Pharmacy may also refer incidents to law enforcement when appropriate.
