Lecture Capture at SoP
Some School of Pharmacy course lectures are video recorded and archived for review by students who are currently enrolled in the course. Regarding these recordings:
- Attendance: Accessing a recording of lecture is not an acceptable alternative to class attendance except in cases explicitly designated by the course instructor.
- Copyright & Intellectual Property: Students may not distribute or otherwise circulate recordings of lectures to a third party. In almost all cases, doing so would violate the copyright and intellectual property rights of the lecturer and others.
Personal Recordings of Lectures
Creating a personal recording of lecture is only permissible when the student has obtained permission from the instructor to record. Permission should be sought in advance of the lecture. In cases where personal recordings are allowed, these recordings may only be used for private study – they are not to be distributed or otherwise circulated.
