We are the only student organization in the School of Pharmacy that focuses on pediatric pharmacy.
We have about 1 meeting per month. During meetings, we bring in special guest pharmacists, pediatricians, professors, and more to talk about their experience with pediatrics and how pharmacy is involved.
Our most popular meeting is during the spring semester when we have an American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH) pharmacist bring over a variety of liquid medications for us to sample/test taste!
We also host journal clubs where we review recent articles about pediatric pharmacy and discuss them.
We have a shadowing program, reach out if you are interested in signing up for a job shadowing experience with a pediatric pharmacist in the state!
Volunteer opportunities vary. We often make baked goods at the Ronald McDonald House of Charities for the families that have children staying at the hospital.
