Hello! My name is Emily LaMonte, and I am a third-year student pharmacist at the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy. Clara Nickel and I are the 2021-2022 Operation Immunization Co-Chairs for the Wisconsin Society of Pharmacy Students, an organization within the School of Pharmacy. Every Fall we reach out to pharmacies and other health institutions in the general Madison or close to Madison area to see if they would like help from student pharmacists with their vaccination efforts. In the past we have had students due a plethora of volunteer activities at vaccination clinics such as: administering vaccines, helping patients fill out the paperwork, monitoring patients for any side effects, drawing up vaccines, etc. With flu season fast approaching and COVID-19 boosters, please contact either Clara (cnickel3@wisc.edu) or me (lamonte@wisc.edu) if you would like any student pharmacist volunteers at your site!<\/p>
